0000092: Download form URL not working

When using the "download from url"-option or using the download-fromurl URL-trick with username and password it always errors:

The webinterface shows in red:
Error parsing TestB.nzb SAXParseException : White spaces are required between publicId and systemId.

It doesn`t matter if i use the the Download from URL within the webinterface, or the direct download url trick.
If uploading the NZB file through "Upload NZB file" it works fine. Even when trying the binsearch one-click script, it works, but when trying the same nzb file trough "Download from url" it doesn`t.

0000075: UNRAR doesn't work with files/folders which contain spaces - proposed fix included

Tested only under linux.

Problem is call of addQuotesIfNeeded in RarExtracter.java.
If this is skipped, then everything is fine. Point is that params are used in call
process = Runtime.getRuntime().exec(params, envVars, workDir);
but RUntime.exec will add quotes where required ... because you added them, they were there probably twice !

Solution is to remove call of addQuotesIfNeeded in both cases.

Emails are no longer being sent even though same was working with RC-3

Enabling debug logging shows nothing and the mail server, on the same box, is not receiving any connections.

0000091: NINAN Service Install files & wrapper.conf files caused RC5 to fail

Using the install-ninan-service-50.bat & install-ninan-service-100.bat to install NINAN as a service caused NINAN 2.0.0-RC5 to run incorrectly.

I have reworked the install files and the "conf" files to allow NINAN to work correctly, these now mirror the corresponding ninancore.bat files.

Ninan 2.0.0-RC4. Under linux, on all distributions that I've tried, scheduler doesn't seem to work. Java version 1.6.0_03.

Articles that contain "Parts" of a file

are not always joined, when they are the original "Parts" of the files are not deleted.

0000088: Items not appearing in history tab / disapearing from History tab

Completed items sometimes don't appear in the History Tab.

Completed items that have previously shown in the History Tab are removed without pressing the "Purge" button.

This seems to be random, I cant see any pattern or make it reproducible other than keep running NINAN.

Others have said this was seen in RC3 as well, I cannot confirm this though, from what I can remember I never saw this on RC3.

With Firefox on Fedora the Text "Threds: XY" is to far on the right. It overlaps the ID Entry box. This happens no matter what the browser window size is.

0000083: Download stalled after unrar or parcheck

An added release isn`t moved to history after download finished.
Parcheck: enabled
Unrar: Disabled

It keeps beeing in the queue with status "Parcheck done".
No Download hooks are definied (disabled), so it shall be marked as complete and be moved to history.

Seems like "NOTENABLED" status isn`t handled right, but is treated like an error.

0000003: SSL ninan login

Becuase Ninan is a webbased app it is capable of being used from anywhere.
This is great, the problem is that since the login screen has no encryption
on it the username and password are sent plain text. If anyone sniffs your
password they can find what you have downloaded, lock you out (if they get
the admin) or any of a number of things. If there was ssl encryption on
that page it would be greatly appreciated.

I hate idea that users can see where are files physically on disk drive. It's potencial security issue.

before donwload hook doesn't work, because it's trying to execute process, where working directory is download directory, but this directory doesn't exist yet in this phase!

IMHO there isn't reason to run script in this directory and ninan home directory should be enough and future download directory should be send as another parameter to script.

0000081: ninan 2.0.0 RC3 - generates ABSOLUTE urls - not usable via NAT/url rewrite module of apache

At least redirects generated by ninan are using absolute URLs. Unfortunatelly it doesn't work in some environments, when NAT or apache url rewrite module is used to hide real host and real URI of service.
This also makes integration to others systems very complicated.

Proposed solution: generate relative urls for all including redirects.

If there is not enough disk space, unrar hangs on:

note that such message is visible in log only after killing unrar process.

At least under windows, say the NZB file name is "test .nzb" and "d:\" is my download directory, Ninan will try to build the downloaded file "d:\test \downloadedfile.foo". Windows will trim the space in the directory when Ninan initially creates it and so Ninan will be unable to access the directory.

A reasonable expectation of following the user specified speed limit would be around 5%. However ninan isn't achiving this. When setting various speed limits the following throughput was observered (10 connections):
limit: 130k/sec actual 123K/sec
limit: 100k/sec actual 99K/sec
limit: 50k/sec actual 58K/sec
limit: 20k/sec actual 30K/sec
limit: 1k/sec actual 10K/sec

0000073: Files are downloaded as "(null)" so they overwrite each other

Some (rare) NZB's causes all (or most) files to download to filename "(null)"
(quotes are not part of the filename), thus overwriting each other.

The files as such are OK, and if you manage to rename each file
before the next is decoded the problem is solved :-)

The attached file (NewzBin id 3107941) shows the problem om
v2 RC1 (win), v1.1.4 (linux) and v1.1.1 (win)

0000072: NZBParser crashes when download package contains NZB

I can't really describe why this happens, I guess that's your job. When I download NZBs with a download package containing another NZB to the Import directory NINAN starts the download and apparently tries to read the NZB it just downloaded. See log below. "K:\Usenettemp" is my temp directory.
I tried to reproduce this but I didn't find any pattern when it works and when NINAN crashes.
Strangely the NZB in the temp directory has the same name the original NZB had. So I am not sure if it tries to read the NZB contained in the download and renames it for some reason or copies the original NZB to the temp directory. Either way I don't think the NZB belongs in the temp directory and even if so it shouldn't be read by the parser.
