but RUntime.exec will add quotes where required ... because you added them, they were there probably twice !&lt;br /&gt;

Strangely the NZB in the temp directory has the same name the original NZB had. So I am not sure if it tries to read the NZB contained in the download and renames it for some reason or copies the original NZB to the temp directory.
